WORI is always looking for volunteers who can work within our existing programs in Uganda together with our local volunteers, interns, and WORI staff. The nature of the work that a WORI volunteer would embark on varies from programme to programme.
Mostly, it involves conducting trainings in communities and schools on sexual/reproductive health and rights, empowering women in leadership, policy or human rights education, and supporting general administration and fundraising.
We’re also open to your ideas about what you’d like to contribute to our work. WORI requires volunteers to contribute a certain amount of money to cover programme costs depending on their intended period of stay. Volunteers will also be required to meet personal costs such as their flight, host home fees (accommodation and most meals), and health insurance. Please see our FAQs and internships pages for more detailed information. We are honoured when volunteers contribute their time and skills to our work.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please send your CV/resume, a cover letter and a recent passport photo to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Volunteer Enquiry” as the subject. Once we receive your application, we’ll be in touch to arrange a Skype interview to determine your admission as a WORI volunteer.
