The Women’s Rights Initiative is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and encourages applications from all qualified individuals including all genders, people of colour, and people with disabilities.
Are internships at the Women’s Rights Initiative paid?
All internships at the Women’s Rights Initiative are unpaid. Interns are expected to cater for their airfare costs. WORI will expect interns to meet costs including Airport pick up, host home stay and monthly program fees. All these fees will be paid to the organization to help run the intern’s program.
Where will I be housed during my stay?
It is highly recommended that interns live with the host families proposed by Women’s Rights Initiative. Not only for safety and easy of living, but for the intern to fully emerge into Uganda culture and family life. Interns will be matched with host families according to their preferences.
